Welcome to St Mary's Freeland

St Mary’s church is a warm and friendly group of people who follow Jesus Christ and aim to share his love with those they meet and live amongst.

At St Mary’s the atmosphere is relaxed, the preaching Bible-based and the aim is to equip us all to know and follow Jesus better today. Our weekly service is at 10.00am on Sundays, when we use video projection of words and illustrations and during which we have groups for children and a creche area. If you visit us on a Sunday, we will help you feel at home. After the service there is time to chat over tea, coffee and biscuits.

About St Mary's

At Sunday services we’re led by one of our clergy or by a lay leader. We’ll praise God with a mix of mainly contemporary worship songs with some traditional hymns, led by a dedicated group of musicians. We hear a passage from the Bible read and then explained in a way that helps us draw close to God and follow Jesus through the week. There are prayers for the world, our country and this village as well as for other specific needs.

In addition to our Sunday services, we run small groups to help us discover more about living as a Christian, organise community events such as Bible fun club, youth groups and sports activities.

We are part of the Church of England, and whether you are already a follower of Christ, exploring who Jesus is, or just want to find a community that listens and cares, you are very welcome here. We look forward very much to meeting you whether you’re new to this area or have lived here a long time
